Primary duties have included: UX development, back-end development and support of various internal and external facing websites/web apps using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery, UX development working on top of a variety of applications, day-to-day management of multiple Linux servers.
Common but less frequent duties have included: design of various print and digital materials, photography, videography, video editing, leading focus groups and user-acceptance testing, and database management.
Some highlight projects include: Development of a light-weight CMS which has been reskinned and drives multiple sites. Development of a secure “packet-builder” web app, used to manage tens-of-thousands of employees' work histories and produce thousands of submittal resumés per month. Repeated development of annual contest and event-specific microsites that incorporate custom quiz, trivia, and other game systems.
Responsibilities included design of print materials — newspaper ads, point-of-sale materials, posters, direct mail, newsletters, brochures — design and development of web sites, designing graphics and animation for video/TV, video editing, audio editing, project management and client relations.
Some highlights include: Eleven gold and silver Addy awards in a variety of categories. Dozens of successful campaigns and ticket designs for the South Dakota Lottery. Numerous years of highly success campaigns for a fund raising winter carnival benefiting a local charity.
From initial concept and development through final output, I have a complete set of skills that supports every step of the design process. This skill-set includes: photography, photo editing, videography, video editing, and a strong eye for typography and color.
High level expertise and frequent working experience in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Highly proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
Some experience with development in other languages as well as working on-top of applications using other frameworks and languages.
